Connecting external accounts unlocks powerful features for your HiFiBots agents:

Security: How Safe Is It?
Connected accounts use OAuth 2.0, an industry-standard authorization protocol. Here’s what that means for your security:
- You grant specific permissions only — nothing more
- Access can be revoked at any time by you
- HiFiBots never sees your passwords
Your credentials stay protected while your agents gain the access they need to work on your behalf.
Step 1: Generate Your HiFiBots API Key
HiFiBots API Keys work across all WordPress sites and the Chrome extension with one key. Here’s how to generate yours:
- Navigate to your HiFiBots Connected Accounts documentation page
- Generate a new API key
- Copy and paste it into your plugin settings immediately — keys are show-once only
Important: Keys are show-once. You must save the key immediately after generation. If you lose your key, you will need to revoke it and generate a new one.
The same key works for all your WordPress sites and the Chrome extension.
Step 2: Connect Your Reddit Account
Connect Reddit to enable comment posting from AI agents. The connection uses OAuth-based authentication.
During setup, Reddit will request the following permissions:

Once connected, your agents can retrieve and analyze your bookmarked content, helping you surface insights from your saved posts.
Step 4: Set Up Obsidian Sync
Obsidian Sync connects your vault to TPSReport for push/pull with offline-first images.
To set it up:
- Generate an API key specifically for Obsidian vault sync
- Configure TPSReport with your key
- Enable push/pull synchronization
Note: Keys are show-once. If lost, revoke and regenerate the key.
Managing and Revoking Access
You maintain full control over your connected accounts:
- Access can be revoked at any time
- OAuth permissions are user-controlled
- Revocation stops agent access immediately
To revoke access, visit your profile connections page and disconnect any account. The change takes effect immediately.
